[Jean is out and about doing who the fuck cares what. It's fourth wall...what were you expecting, actual plot and character development? Just come bother him.]
[Wherever Jean is walking, he'll come across a strangely dressed guy. Hey, armoured thong and lots of ass, no big deal. Serph certainly doesn't think his armour is really anything unusual.
The sky, however? That's a really big deal. For starters, it's blue.
Which sort of leaves him standing in the middle of the path, just staring up at the sky, fascinated, though it's hard to tell when his expression is about as :| as you can get.]
[...The hell is that guy wearing? Thinks the guy who suits up in a full body harness every day. And he seems really out of it, so Jean assumes it must be another new feather.
Sigh.]
What's the matter, they don't have a sky where you're from?
[Serph had heard Jean's approach, but it hadn't seemed significant until now. He turns his gaze to Jean, staring straight into his eyes, before he shakes his head and responds in an even voice.]
I have never seen the sky until now.
[He'd only known what it's supposed to look like. He has memories of a sky, a clear blue one, fleeting when he tries to grasp at it. Tilting his head, he asks the stranger.]
[He supposes he shouldn't judge, since he's never seen the ocean before, and all kinds of things that seemed commonplace to many of the other worlds represented here, but. It's kinda weird anyway.]
It's Luceti. Probably a lot more disappointing than whatever you were expecting.
[The moment the stranger says "It's Luceti," it confirms the feeling he had, deep in the pit of his stomach. His Tribe isn't here, and his demon -- eat them all -- is still hungry. But even though his demon urges him to eat this stranger, Serph easily ignores that hunger gnawing at the base of his stomach; he knows it will never go away.
Serph shakes his head. It isn't. Even if it isn't Nirvana, it isn't the Junkyard.
Still, even though there are a lot of new and fascinating things around him, there's a few pressing matters. First of all--]
Serph actually blinks and tilts his head, thoughtful. "A girl with black hair" had always been a sufficient descriptor. Black hair is weird and unusual, after all. But then again, the clothing of this stranger is also weird. Too many colours, he can't tell what Tribe he's from.
After a probably too long pause, Serph supplements--]
[Serph gives a slight nod, acknowledging the stranger's response. Disappointing. He will have to continue his search. The others will be fine, but Sera...
Nevertheless, there is only so much he can learn on his own through observation; there's is almost nothing here he recognises. The ground is green. While he has the attention of this stranger, Serph decides it's best to take this opportunity to ask some questions. Like--]
[More terms he doesn't understand. Oxygen stirs something in the back of his mind, but nothing clicks. Maybe the flat expression is rather reminiscent of Haruka. Either way, Serph's got one hell of a poker face.]
I don't know what those are.
[Serph's certainly going to be testing said patience.]
["Fun." He'd told Gale about fun before, but he doesn't really understand what that is. Still, he's dallied enough. He should be searching. But one last thing.

Have you seen a girl with black hair?
[YEAH, REAL SPECIFIC, THERE.]
no subject
And that isn't even some sexual innuendo.]
You'll have to be a lot more specific than that.

She is dressed similar to myself.
[That's... enough information, right?]
no subject
Nope, haven't seen anyone like that. Sorry.

What is that?
[Serph points to a tree.]
no subject
...That's a tree. [Fuck, now he knows how everyone else must have felt when he was asking about the ocean. So damn embarrassing.]
no subject
Serph tilts his head.]
What is its purpose?
[Is Jean prepared for more "stupid" questions?]
no subject
[He's a man of limited patience...but he can deal with this for now.]
no subject
I don't know what those are.

[An aggravated sigh.] Oxygen is air, lumber is...it's wood, you use it to make fires, build houses, carts, furniture, whatever you want.
no subject
Serph shakes his head.]
Most of this is unfamiliar.
[His gaze flickers back to the tree.]
Very little of what I see exists where I was.
no subject
[If even something as basic as a house is unfamiliar.]

Rain. A sun we have never seen. A temple that reaches beyond the clouds.
[Those are the most prominent features. But most importantly...]
People.
[Who turn into demons.]

A head tilt.]
Your name?
whoops forgot about this
And you are...? [He doesn't particularly care, but whatever.]
