Perhaps you are correct. If you want an admiration confession, that could be more low-key. It could be as simple as giving her a thumbs up and saying 'Please go out with me! I'll protect you until I die!'

That's corny as hell. [Mostly because of the thumbs up. The part about protecting her...he can work with that. Even the strongest soldier needs someone covering their back. The "until death" part is laying it on a bit thick, though - he won't make a promise he can't deliver on.]
